Board Current Projects
The Board of Trustees is actively involved in planning improvements to the school. We set our direction in the strategic plan and then, each year, set aside money to fund various projects which include, for example, upgrading the interior of classrooms, landscaping, the purchase of sporting equipment, computers, other IT devices and so on. Funding is always tight so we also involve our Parent Group in fund raising to help enhance both the school environment and learning opportunities for children. 
The Board is very supportive of programmes to assist
students with special needs and over the years has funded additional literacy support teachers. 2011 has been a busy year for the Board. Our main project focus has been the development of the front of the school following a major construction project in which three junior rooms were replaced with a "state of the art" Learning Studio of 5 learning spaces and a shared learning area. This project was begun in 2010 and will be completed by the end of 2011.
Another project the board is undertaking in later 2011 is the redevelopment of the Pool environment and to fund the new shade cloths we are accessing charitable trusts. Our pool serves our community over Summer as we sell keys for the pool to our parents. We find this is a great way for our families to get together and it makes the most of our pool while the children are not at school over the long Summer break.
