Who we are and what we do
The Board of Trustees (BoT) is an elected group of parents who govern the school which means they are involved in setting the direction of the school along with the principal. There are 6 areas of governance:
- Student Learning and Assessment
- Self Review
- Finance and Property
- Health and Safety
- Legislative Obligations
Trustees meet monthly and discuss progress in each of these areas. The principal and staff representative are also Board of Trustee members. The principal is responsible to the Board to manage the school in each of these 6 areas on a day to day basis. The Board has policies that are public documents in each of these areas and a full set is available for you to see at the School Office. We have a Board of Trustees who were elected in May 2016 ,unopposed. During 2018 the BoT has also asked Ceri Edmonds and Casey Williams to join the present BoT. In election year, all Parents and Caregivers are eligible to put themselves forward for the Board and are able to vote. The next election will be 2019.
