Our School Charter is a key public document that our board, staff and community develop to reflect our school's priorities and plans. Consequently Charters from different school may all look a little different. Our charter is updated each year.
Our charter at Arthur Miller includes a brief history of the school, our vision and values, annual targets for student achievement required by the Ministry of Education, curriculum goals for the current year and the broad focus of professional development for our staff. Also included is our strategic plan which sets out goals over a three year period in each of 5 areas: Achievement, Personnel, Health and Safety, Property and Finance, and Self Review. We also include our annual development plan which sets our medium term goals to be achieved over a 12 month period. A section on Maori Achievement lists our priorities for Maori students. There is a section on the ways in which we consult and engage with our community.
